Hello lovelies, today I want to talk about those days you have no idea what to make.
When I find that inspiration is not forthcoming I like to do something really simple, I’ve talked in the past about just putting a pen or brush to paper. This time I grabbed my scraps ‘bucket’, my paper trimmer and a tape runner and set about putting some pieces together!
It really is as simple as cutting your chosen paper scraps into strips, (you could do them all equal widths but I decided I wanted some variation), then putting some adhesive onto a piece of printer paper and laying the strips side by side.

Any choice of colours can work and you can lay them any orientation you want.
Once I had laid down enough pieces I trimmed this down to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and put it onto a white card base.
I added a ‘scripty happy’ die cut from Lawn Fawn and I heat embossed ‘birthday’ onto some vellum to put underneath.
Not too bad an outcome from an afternoon I thought I wouldn’t get anything useful done!! And it’s a more masculine leaning card, which I admit I don’t find as easy to make as more feminine styles.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, if you’re new here then I hope that you will consider subscribing.
Stay Crafty!
