Hello Crafty People!
Welcome to another challenge over at Aud Sentiments. I absolutely loved seeing all of the lovely projects you all came up with last time, so I can’t wait to see what you come up with this time!!
This challenge is sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they were kind enough to supply our Design Team with some images to use for our projects and they are also supplying a prize for the winner so Thank you very much to them.
Colouring my image
I used a mixture of Winsor & Newton and Copic alcohol markers to colour these adorable little bears; I used 3 colours on each bear, the lightest to give a very pale overall colour and then I used the mid & dark tones to add lots of dots. This style gives a more textured finish which is what I was aiming for. I aren’t 100% happy with the result because this is the first time I’ve tried to colour an image like this, but it was a lot of fun to practice!
Assembling my card
I fussy cut the image and added it to a sheet of Neenah Solar white that I had used an embossing folder on; the folder gives a lovely, embossed background pattern of small hearts & dots, which I think fits perfectly with the sentiment I wanted to use. I added a white heat embossed sentiment and a few red hearts. I decided to round the corners of the card base because I felt it gives it a softer feel which pairs well with those cute, cuddly bears.
Thank you for visiting my blog today. If you’d like to see more of my artwork & how to’s and/or hear my thoughts on living with a chronic illness then please consider subscribing. T.
