Hello Crafty People!
We are back with another challenge over on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog!
This time our brief was ‘thank you card, using more than one image; using the Heroes collection’. Now, I felt that I wanted to do something a little bit different because I had used all of the characters together in my last card for Polkadoodles, so I knew I would have to think outside the box for this one!
I know that there are many different programmes upon which you can edit your digi stamps into a scene but I am still using Publisher for all of mine.
I chose two sentiments from the Grateful Sentiments pack (available as part of the Heroes bundle – for free) and I sized them then copy & pasted many more of each. I created a line of one of the sentiments then a line of the other, adding a heart in between each sentiment.
Once I was happy with that I wanted to lock those images onto eachother, this is really easy to do: just select all of the images at the same time, (select one, then press the shift key as you click on every other object you want to include). Then you just press the little button with two squares interlinked on it that pops up underneath the selected images; this locks all of those images together.
When they were locked together I could just copy and paste them again, but this time I was copying two lines at a time, rather than single sentiments. This was loads quicker!!!
I did the same for the hearts; I lined three up and then copied & pasted that, once I had an full line I copy & pasted that.
I repeated these steps until i had a full page and i was happy with the composition. Then I added the Dr over the top of it all. Getting her in front of the background is super easy; there are two buttons on the taskbar which each show three squares in a row, there is one which shows the middle square in front of the other two squares that are flanking it. This button brings whichever object you have selected to the front, so that it is sitting on top of any other images. (The other shows the middle square behind the two that are flanking it, and this moves the selected item to the back.)
Once printed, I coloured the Dr in using the same method as I did last time and then coloured the hearts in rainbow order!
I layered the card panel onto a gold pearl cardstock and added it to a cardbase. I finished the design off with some sequins & black nuvo drops, before adding some Glossy Accents to some of the hearts in a random manner. Done!
