BBQ King – Father’s Day Graciellie Designs Release

Hello Crafty People!

This super fun bundle includes a BBQ grill, several options to add on top and lots of sentiment choices.

I wasn’t quite sure where I was going with this card, but I placed the grill & sentiment on a card panel and then a few extras that I could fussy cut and place on top.

Using Copics, I added some random yellows & oranges in the grill to be the burning coals and then a mixture of my lightest greys around these coals. I then used my darkest grey to pull the shadow in from the outside of the grill. I deepend the colour by adding black pencil crayon across the entire grill; this works to darken it but also the texture it adds mimics the ashy look of actual burning coals.

I just really quickly coloured in the two kebabs and sausages with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to the hearts on the kebabs. Then I fussy cut them and glued into place on my grill.

I added some black accents on the handles and a frame using a black Gelly Roll Glaze pen, then popped the panel up on foam tape onto a black card base.

This set really took me out of my comfort zone, but I’m so happy with how it came out! I feel like unless we push ourselves out of our comfort we aren’t learning and growing as artists.

I can’t wait to see what you all make with this set!!
