‘You’re my Hero’ – Father’s Day – Polkadoodles Fri 19

Hello Crafty People!

This week our challenge theme is ‘You’re my Hero’ and there is only one person in this world that I think of as my hero. (If you know me in ‘real life’ you’d be forgiven for thinking I am referring to one Miss Taylor Swift, but no, she is my Queen πŸ‘‘πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ)

My husband is my hero. We have two daughters who also think their Daddy is a hero, and given that it is Father’s Day this weekend it is perfect timing to make him a special card.

I chose this adorably cute Panda digital stamp and added my sentiment using the Word Art function in Publisher.

I coloured both the Panda and the sentiment with Copics and, yes, I did colour the Panda the wrong way! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ When I was colouring him in it didn’t feel right, but I was being too lazy to look for a reference image. Learn from my mistake; ALWAYS check a reference!!

I even though I’d coloured him wrong, I decided he was just way too cute to bin him!

I added some Wink of Stella to the sentiment and the little heart that the panda is holding, then popped it up on foam adhesive onto a blue card base.

Head on over to our challenge blog to join in the fun and link up your own entry!!
