Hello Crafty People!
This week I was feeling like playing with some Catherine Pooler stencils and my favourite snarky sentiment set from Picket Fence Studios, so I got straight to it!!
I started with pressing a Versamark pad through the Square Dance stencil from CP and then added some matte dull embossing powder from WOW. I haven’t used this particular powder before and I really wanted to compare the effect of using the matte for emboss resist over the standard clear.
My ink pad is a little dry, so the result is a little patchy, but actually I like the kind of grungy effect that gives.
I blended some Ruby dye ink across the whole panel and added Razzleberry around the outside, both inks are by Altenew. I trimmed the panel slightly so that I would have a bit of a white border once it was popped up onto an A2 card base on some foam tape.
I embossed my main sentiment with opaque bright white EP from WOW onto a strip of black pearl card stock. Then I stamped my sub sentiment with Versafine onto Neenah 80lb and trimmed it down into a thin strip with an angled edge. I attached the black strip with foam tape and the white strip straight onto the background panel. I absolutely adore this stamp set; it is the perfect mix between passive aggression and sarcasm, that is basically where I live!
I added a few of these beautiful Sparkling Onyx sequins from Kat Scrappiness to finish off the design.
