Hey Crafty People!
Welcome to March…..flipping March?! How?! (*Yes, I do seem to say this at the start of every month, I fear that between that and my deep seated love of the crying laughing face emoji that I am…old?! 👵)
I’m super excited to have been given March’s Scrapbook.com challenge graphic ahead of time which means I can post my inspiration entry on the 1st.
I absolutely love this month’s graphics and colour scheme! I chose some Catherine Pooler inks which I think match well and set to blending a beautiful, bold rainbow. 🌈 😍
I used Party Dress, Orange Twist, Limoncello, Grass Skirt & Fiesta Blue and I love the way it turned out!
I spritzed some water over my panel to add some yummy texture but also as a nod to the umbrellas seen in the graphic.
Speaking of umbrellas; as soon as I saw them my mind went straight to the new-to-me Radiating Background 2 from Pinkfresh.
The pattern it cut into my panel is a perfect call back to the challenge graphic!!!
I stamped my sentiment onto the panel after I had die cut it, this was completely because I didn’t really have any sort of plan beyond the ink blending and die cutting.
I wasn’t sure whether I should risk stamping onto it and potentially ruining my beautiful rainbow, but ultimately I put my faith in my MISTI, along with Altenew’s Obsidian Pigment Ink and I’m so glad I did!!!
I finished it off with some clear droplet embellishments and attached it straight down to an a2 card.
I absolutely LOVE how this card turned out and I am looking forward to seeing the other creations inspired by this March Inspiration Challenge!
