Blends Patterned Paper
My love for the new Blends 6×6 Patterned Paper pack honestly knows no bounds! I have used it SO MUCH and I feel like there’s hardly anything gone from it!
It’s such a great way to make quick & easy cards that look like you’ve spent an age ink blending! (Check out my BAF background, and almost everything for my Sweet Moments Collection release samples!! haha!)
I wanted to see if I could create the whole of my CAF using a single sheet of the paper, and it worked perfectly! The papers are an ombre blend of each of the Altenew ink families; so you get a gradient from very light to very dark, which is perfect for die cutting the layers of a CAF.
I just positioned each die on the 6×6 sheet so that I would have the right shade for each layer and I ran it all through in one pass of my Gemini Jr. (I used black mirror cardstock for the centre of my flower to get a dramatic contrast.)
Repeating the same process with the leaves.
For a simple background, I added a single vertical stripe of Gold with the 1inch Gold Washi tape on an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb.
I cut the ‘thanks’ sentiment from the die set from black mirror cardstock and stacked this up on two matte black die cuts.
A few metallic studs finish the design perfectly!
