Mixed Media Fun
I absolutely LOVE the vibrancy of the colours I have on these gorgeous flowers and the background has my blue loving heart all a-flutter!!! ??
I used some Magicals from Lindy’s Gang to get all of the colour for this card, these are new to me and I really enjoyed working with them!
To start, I took three pieces of watercolour cardstock and working on one at a time, I tapped some of the Magicals over it. Magicals are like a pigment powder, which you only need a tiny amount of; so I used a fan brush to tap tiny amounts of the powder over the paper before spritzing it with the Altenew Fine Mister.
This gave me a sheet of pink, purple and green, with lighter and darker areas across these colours. I positioned the dies to give me a range of tones that I could use for the layers of my flowers & leaves.
Once I had my flowers & leaves, I turned my attention to my background and for this I used an a2 panel of watercolour cardstock with another of the Magicals. This has to be my favourite of all of the colours I used, there is just something about blue that makes me so happy!
I embossed a sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 3 Stamp set onto a scrap from the pink scraps using WOW Platinum embossing powder. Then I finished the design by trimming down the panel to 4×5.25in, adhering it to an a2 card base and adding some white acrylic dots.
