Bright & Geometric
I opted for one of the sheet from the Blends 6×6 paper pack for these gorgeous Sunburst Azaleas! As the name hinted, I decided for some beautiful & vibrant oranges and I cut all of the pieces for both flowers from a single piece of 6×6 paper.
The beauty of these Blends papers is that each one features the four colours of one of the ink families, and it has a perfect ombre blend. This makes them perfect for these Craft-A-Flower sets because you can get a whole range of tones with a single sheet. I cut the larger, base pieces from the lightest part and then each layer got darker as I cut further down.
I also cut the leaves from some of the leftover pieces of a couple of green Blends paper scraps that I had in the pack. (This paper is way too gorgeous to throw away the scraps! haha!)
So easy, so PERFECT!
For my background, I used the gorgeous Simple Shapes cover die; I had a gorgeous Sea Shore blended die cut left over from a previous crafting session, so I opted to add that onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb. I also had some of the ‘shapes’ that are cut with this die, that were in the same colour, so I added a few of those randomly over the panel.
Using Instant Dimension Foam Tape, I added my two flowers and then slipped the leaves behind them.
For my sentiment, I decided to juxtapose all of that bright colour with a solid, black sentiment; I used the Mega Label Love stamp set & Obsidian ink for this.
