Today I’m sharing some inspiration for a little bit of elegant mixed media. This has the texture, movement & interest of a mixed media piece but with all the elegance of a much more clean & simple design. You don’t have to choose one or the other!

Elegant Mixed Media

1. Create a panel of inky goodness in whatever ways you enjoy! I did some ink swiping and inking with a small brush. Die cut many Butterflies from this panel to get random and beautifully unique Butterflies. Colour the body section with black marker or pen.
2. Apply White Hero Paste thickly, onto an a2 panel of mixed media cardstock. Create patterns & texture by pressing a pallet knife and lifting it to create ridges & mountains.
3. Cover with Polished Silver embossing powder and heat to emboss & dry the paste.
4. Stamp a sentiment in the upper left hand corner.
5. Gently bend the Butterflies’ wings and add to the card panel with a line of strong glue underneath their body section.
6. Embellish with coordinating gems.
