Hey Crafty People!
Gold foiling just always looks so classy! These foiled Borders are no exception, and that Nordic pattern is absolutely GORGEOUS!
To get twice as much use from the foiling, I also foiled the reverse image using a Solid Foil Plate…I swear this thing is the single biggest game changer for me this year!!! I decided to finish both cards off differently to give two examples of how this pretty border can be used to easily create really beautiful cards!
Golden Peace
- Foil the pattern in Gold foil onto a sheet of WOW’s cardstock. (I purposely left the panel larger than A2 so that I could easily die cut it down later on.)
- Foil the Peace sentiment onto Glossy White card with the same Gold foil and die cut with the coordinating die.
- Cut down the foiled panel using the A2 Rounded Accent Die, and glue this onto an a2 panel of Deep Red cardstock.
- Pop up the Peace sentiment on foam tape, and add a stamped sub sentiment.
- Add some pops of red using adhesive gems.
Reverse Foiled & Stamped
- Using a Solid Foil Plate, foil the leftover piece onto a panel of Neenah 80lb. (If the edges of your foil aren’t straight & even, you should trim the foil before if you want to keep it one layered.)
- Die cut the foiled panel, again using the A2 Rounded Accent die and adhere to another A2 panel of Deep Red cardstock.
- Stamp a sentiment using black ink.
- Embellish with more red jewels.
