Hey Crafty People!
I’m sharing two cards today, with ideas for New Baby Special delivery congratulations cards. One that’s definitely quicker & easier than the other, but the second on could be kept as a special keepsake to decorate the Nursery for their precious new baby.
New Baby Special Delivery by Stork
- Stamp the flying Stork & bundle images, from the New Baby themed Special Delivery, and the Sun & both clouds from Quack Me Up onto Heffy’s Alcohol Marker cardstock. (TIP! Stamp in any alcohol marker friendly ink, using a MISTI or similar. Leave the stamps in place so that you can colour then and put the sheet back in your MISTI to stamp again.)
- Colour, restamp in Versa fine and die cut using the Heffy Mini Die Cutting Machine. (Copic colours used, listed & linked below.)
- Die cut a piece of Ice Blue cardstock using the new Sky High Cloud background panel. Using Gluebert liquid adhesive, add this onto an a2 panel of white glittery cardstock. Set aside to dry, with something on it to hold it down for the best adhesion.
- Trim the sticky pad of a Mini Action Wobblers until it fits on the back of your Stork and then stick it in place.
- OPTIONAL Using a craft knife, cut a hole in the top of the sack to fit the Stork’s beak in, so that he can easily carry it.
- Heat emboss part of the sentiment with Polished Silver embossing powder from WOW and die cut with the coordinating dies. Stamp the other half of it with Versafine and trim this into a strip.
- Add the Sun, clouds & sentiment onto the card with a mixture of thin & thick foam adhesive.
- Embellish with some of the Spring Breeze Enamel Dots.
Personalised Keepsake for the New Baby
- Stamp, colour & die cut images from the New Baby themed Special Delivery, 2×2 Safari Animals & Honey Bunny Boo. (Storks, basket, bottle & rattle from Special Delivery.)
- Die cut all of your letters from Man Cave Basics paper and stack these on top of two layers of white cardstock for added dimension.
- Trim out an a2 panel of Cornflower cardstock and apply Catherine Pooler, Pebble ink through the Lots of Love stencil. Apply ink left on the sponge around the edges of the panel.
- To add extra detail, use the largest Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. (This would cut out an a2 panel, so use Heffy Memo Tape to hold the die in place so that it doesn’t shift.)
- Use the row of hearts from the Lovely Little Borders die set to create a ‘floor’ for your scene to sit on and adhere Huckleberry cardstock to the back.
- Position your images across the background panel and adhere in place with a mix of liquid & foam adhesive. (Add the small images into the basket to create a fun gift basket for your animal welcoming committee to give.)
- Add white gel pen highlights to your images to really help them POP!
