Hey Crafty People!
I have been incredibly lucky and so grateful to see, and feel, what happens when this wonderful community comes together to support or uplift others.
As some of you may know, last week a young girl tragically lost her life after being hit by a car.
I have seen it reported as a Road Traffic Collision, which whilst this may be technically true, it is somewhat misleading.
Sharlotte was walking her dog with her Father, when a speeding car mounted the pavement and struck her.
This was very close to my house, on the road I live, and Sharlotte was actually a friend of my daughter’s. It is absolutely heartbreaking, and I can’t begin to imagine how her family are feeling right now.
Nothing can take away that pain, or bring back Sharlotte.
I would love for this caring community to come together and use our hobby to show love & support to this poor family at such an unimaginably painful time.
We are cardmakers and as such, we know the comfort that a card can bring.
Sharlotte’s family have expressed their gratitude for the way our local community have worked to make Sharlotte proud. They have also said that they feel some comfort in the show of love and grief this senseless tragedy has inspired.
I would love to show them that Sharlotte’s story has touched people around the world.

I have been given an address for this by a close family member of Sharlotte’s.
Planning a funeral for a child is something that no-one anticipates doing in their worst nightmares, and the thought of planning one for your own child breaks me.
In hopes of easing the financial burden, Sharlotte’s extended family have set up a GoFund Me page and if you are able to give, any amount would be gratefully received.
I have spoken with the family member responsible for organising the fundraising effort to check that I am ok to make this appeal and he has given me an address that can be used to get any cards to the family.
