I was super excited to get my hands on Altenew’s latest Alcohol Marker set, and of course the first thing I needed to do was Swatch out these gorgeous new colours! I was having so much fun playing with them that I created these easy, free hand alcohol marker backgrounds!

Once i had my backgrounds, I turned two of them into really simple cards and I’ve got a process Reel to show for each of those too!

Warm Sunrise

1. Create an ombre of Orange using the four orange markers from the Beach Garden set, trim this down and add to an a2 panel of Kraft cardstock.
2. Die cut several foliage pieces from the same Kraft cardstock, stacking them up with Gilded glitter cardstock die cuts on the top.
3. Position the different die cuts into an arrangement that you’re happy with and adhere with some dots of strong glue to the bottoms. Add them to the card panel.
4. Tear a piece of Vellum around 1.75inches thick and adhere to the panel by wrapping it around, securing from the back.
5. Die cut a sentiment from this month’s Craft A Flower set, stacking Gilded glitter cardstock onto slightly offset Kraft. Adhere this to the vellum strip.

Cool Toned Abstract

1. Colour a repeating pattern of rough squares with the four blue markers from Beach Garden marker set, using fine pencil lines to guide you.
2. Once finished, stamp the Weaving Lines background stamp over the top with the very dark blue Jewel Tone ink colour.
3. Die cut sentiments from the Copper Brushes Cardstock, adding 1110lb white cardstock for extra pops of white.
4. adhere with foam adhesive for added dimension.
