It’s time to play with some more of the fabulous new It’s My Party and It’s My Party Too collection from Spellbinders!

Have a POPPIN’ Birthday!

1. Using Thin Rainbow Glimmer foil the new Poppin Birthday sentiment onto your preference of white cardstock. Die cut with the coordinating die and set aside.
2. Dampen a piece of black cardstock and dry emboss it with the new Balloon 3d embossing folder.
3. Once fully dry, gently swipe a Gold Pigment ink pad across the panel. This will allow those highest bits to grab onto the ink, giving a relief effect that really helps the pattern shine. Once you’re happy with the amount of ink on there, set aside to dry.
4. For more metallic pops of colour, splatter metallic watercolour paint in each colour of the rainbow onto the background!
5. Using the balloon die from May’s Large Die of the Month kit, cut 3 balloons from Rainbow mirror cardstock. For an optional extra touch, tie metallic thread around the base of each one.
6. Trim down your background panel and mat this onto some Hint of Gold Pearlised cardstock, then add the other elements on top using foam adhesive.

Hip Hip Hooray!

1. Foil the new Hip Hip Hooray sentiment with some of the Black Glimmer foil that comes out of the black & white set. (Yes, they are different, this one is more like a matter finish.) Die cut & set aside.
2. For a little cute accent, foil the small bow that comes with the Balloon Bouquet set, in the blue end of some Rainbow Glimmer foil.
3. To get that foiled Hexagon frame; use the Solid HexiGems plate with Shattered Prism foil, then die cut with two of the Stacked HexiGems die set to get the thickness of frame you’d like.
4. Finally, for that background, Glimmer the Hypnotic plate onto white glossy cardstock with Prism foil. Then, for an extra bit of texture, offset the plate and run it back through without heat/foil to get a debossed effect. (Now, is this exactly how I got the effect, or did I run it through the first time with the foil upside down. I’ll leave that up to your imagination…HA!)
5. Trim down the foiled background and add to an a2 panel of rainbow mirror cardstock.
6. Adhere the foiled HexiGems frame onto a piece of cardstock or vellum (I had mine on Vellum, but I decided I wanted more of a contrast, so I coloured the back with a Navy Copic marker.)
7. Pop up the sentiment on foam onto the HexiGem, then put that on more foam onto the background!
8. Embellish with the foil bow and a rainbow of jewels!
