Rainbow Mirrorballs…Party Time!

1. Foil the new Balloon Bouquet & hanging strings with Aura Glimmer foil on white cardstock. Then foil a sentiment from the new It’s My Party Glimmer sentiments in the same Aura foil. Die cut the foiled pieces.
2. Use the new Balloon Bouquet Designs Stencil to add Rainbow mirrorball details to the first one, then use the two semi-circle masks that come with it to mask off to allow you to do the other two. To get that rainbiw, choose 6 shades of ink and blend a small amount of each one in turn.
3. Soften the white details by gently ink blending the same colour over the top of each section. (I wasn’t too sure how I felt about them before I did this bit and I absolutely LOVE how they came out. So I’m so glad that I kept going and didn’t give up!)
4. The main die for the balloons, cuts a small slit which you can slip the hanging pieces into. This works whether you have them this way and use it to ‘hang’ them from or the other way round and they would be the balloon bottoms & strings.
5. Cut an a2 panel of blue cardstock and swipe it with a baby wipe before running it through in the Tiny Dots embossing folder.
6. Darken the edges and in towards the centre with Navy, then purple ink. Set aside to dry.
7. Splatter the background with Gold metallic watercolour and again, allow to dry.
8. Trim down the panel to give a 1/8th inch border on each side and glue onto an a2 white cardbase.
9. Adhere the Mirrorballs with a layer of foam adhesive and then use 2 layers for the sentiment.
10. Embellish with Aura gems, adding 3 in a visual triangle around the sentiment.
11. OPTIONAL: For extra detail, add small, backwards L shaped to the lower right hand side of each square with a Stardust gel pen.
