I love adding personal touches to gifts, books, and projects — and stickers are the perfect way to do that! In today’s post, I’m sharing two ways to create your own stickers using the brand-new Personalize This stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs.

I’ve made a quick video showing the full process too, which you can check out at the end of this post.
Whether you want repositionable stickers from masking paper or permanent stickers from cardstock, this set gives you lots of options for homemade gifts and personalisation.

Create Your Own Stickers: Two Ways!

Step-by-Step Tutorial

1. Stamp Your Images

• Stamp onto masking paper using your favourite inks (I used Skylight for soft stamping and Midnight for crisp black)
• Optionally, stamp onto plain white cardstock for a permanent sticker option

2. Add Adhesive & Die Cut

• Trim your stamped images to a manageable size.
• Add double-sided adhesive to the back of any cardstock stamped images (permanent or repositionable).
• Position the coordinating dies using low-tack tape and run through a die cutter
• No dies? Scissors or any suitable dies in your stash will work just fine

3. Add Colour (Optional)

• Use Copic markers or your preferred colouring tools. I used two shades per colour to suggest shadow and depth — no blending necessary.
• Be careful on masking paper — avoid saturating areas to prevent bleeding.
• White cardstock allows for more detailed shading with confidence, as I know how my markers perform on this surface.

4. Apply Your Stickers

• Peel and stick onto gift tags, cards, boxes, or personal books.
• Masking paper stickers are repositionable; cardstock stickers would depend on what type of adhesive you used, mine are permanent.
• Each label has a space to sign or add a name — I added mine to a childhood book, a packaged handmade card and I’ll use my baking-themed labels for a personalised gift set.

• Personalised gift tags or packaging for holiday baking or gifts.
• Label your own library or create a gift set for a book-lover.
• Combine with the Curl Up with Winter release items for themed projects.
• Use stickers on scrapbooking or journaling projects for a custom touch.
