I’m pulling a bit of double duty today for the hop, so welcome to my second CASE study for this AECP Family CASE Hop!
Unfortunately, some of our AECP family are unwell, so we are sending them positive energy for a speedy recovery. ?

I remember being completely bowled over by Sandhya’s card when she first posted it; I honestly thought it was genius to use just the leaves from a large floral set, that is such an unexpected and unique thing to do!!!
I didn’t want anyone to be left unCASEd, so here I am sharing a card that was inspired by another of my dear friends, Sandhya Iyer of Sanjus Creations!
So, as soon as I knew I would be CASE’ing Sandhya too, I knew exactly which card I would be recreating!!!
I went a much more literal way with this inspiration piece; it is so clear and evident that my card is a recreation of Sandhya’s own design, but I’ve still added a few of my own twists.
I used the same leaf image as the original card, but I chose two lighter and brighter greens, I chose Sweet Leaf & Hunter Green.
I also stamped my sentiment in Hunter Green.
I absolutely adore my MISTI and I couldn’t be without it at all, but when I am stamping these types of backgrounds I find it much easier to use an acrylic block. This allows me to stamp anywhere on the panel, keep turning the stamp and stamp off the edge of the panel too.
I used green embroidery floss to add extra texture and interest, then foam mounted the sentiment strip onto a strip of dark green paper from my stash.
I positioned my strip towards the bottom half of the panel and added some green flat back sequins that I had in my stash.
I loved recreating this card design by Sandhya, it is so different from my usual style and I loved exploring a different way to use the stamp set that I already had in my stash!
