Hey Crafty People!
Sometimes it’s fun to add completely unexpected colours into a design, and that’s how this pastel snow flurry came about!
I even cut down the panel to create two cards for the effort of one…LOVE it!
Pastel Snow Flurry
- Die cut, stack and emboss the Snowflakes, (as in THIS post), but this time use the Pastel Gemstones Trio this time.
- Adhere these snowflakes onto an a2 panel of Sea Glass cardstock, and fill in any gaps in the pattern with the small snowflake stamps from Snow-rific Birthday in Aquatini.
TOP TIP! My favourite way of stamping these little bits, in fiddly places, is to just out it on the end of my finger! That way I have total control and there’s no bulky acrylic block getting in the way! - Cut this panel into two pieces to spread this over two cards.
- Add three 1/8th strips of Scor-Tape onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb and remove each release tape in turn, applying each of the Pastel Gemstones Trio onto there in turn. Heat set these.
(Scor-tape is safe to be heated, so that is why I use that brand, if you want to use a different brand’s tape please ensure it is heat safe before you emboss with it.) - Stamp a sentiment from Big Happy Sentiments stamp set in Aquatini.
- Adhere the snowflake panel below the embossed stripes and trim any excess.
- Embellish with various sequins.
Snow-rific Birthday Pastels
- Adhere the other piece of the background panel onto an a2 panel of deep Turquoise cardstock. Angle it to give more interest to the design.
- Trim some very thin pieces of gold glitter cardstock and adhere these along the edges of the snowflakes panel.
- Stamp & emboss a sentiment and trim it out into a banner/pennant shape.
- Adhere the sentiment onto a slightly bigger golden glitter piece to allow for a small edge of the glitter to be showing.
- Pop this up on foam tape onto the card panel, in order to give more dimension to the design.
- Embellish with several sequins.
