Crafting My Place In The World

Pride in the Sky | WOW Embossing

Hey Crafty People!

More fun for Pride Month and with this one I am wearing my Pride in the Sky 😀 <3

  1. ! the background, by cutting down a panel of white cardstock to 3in x 6in for a mini slimline. Start from the bottom with the green grass. Line up your grassy stencil (I used one from Heffy Doodle) and ink blend down from the masked portion with Grass Skirt CP ink. Add a second grassy hill in the distance by gently blending using just the ink you have left on your blending tool.
  2. Moving on to the sky, use another stencil to create puffy clouds (again, I used one from Heffy Doodle.) For the clouds you want to gently blend UP off the top of the stencil. One line at a time but keep switching up to different areas of the stencil so that your clouds look more random. Don’t blend all the way across the panel for each ‘layer’, again to make it appear more random.
  3. I chose my ink colours based upon the Bisexual Pride flag to fly my own Pride high. I used Party Dress, Sugared Lavender & Dress Blues from top to bottom.
  4. OPTIONAL: Add Gold glittery splatter to the sky for more magical fun!

Finishing the card…

  1. I used Pixie images that I had stamped coloured and embossed previously. (You can see the details for that here.) The fun added glitter thanks to the WOW Embossing Pen just make these all the more magical!!! Die cut and set aside.
  2. Die cut some small clouds, and lightly ink blend each one of the colours you used for the background.
  3. Adhere some of your images onto the clouds and once you are happy with all of your placement, use both liquid & foam adhesive to stick all of your images onto the background.
  4. Stamp a sentiment from the same stamp set and trim into a rectangle. Add this to your card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, if you’re new here then I hope that you will consider subscribing.

Have a lovely, happy, safe, WONDERFUL week.

Please be aware:

As part of my Design Team and Guest Design work I do often receive free products to use, but I only ever recommend products that I genuinely love.

Also, I know how incredibly lucky I am to have these opportunities, but you don’t always NEED the newest products or the ‘full set’.
So please don’t feel that you need everything.
I like to show a variety of brands and products; this way there will be something for everybody to enjoy.
