Just a couple of simple steps can really kick up the awesome factor on really basic card designs!

The difference from the start of the video to the finished product is unbelievable!!!

Card 1 – Midnight

1. Trim a panel of Cookie Monster cardstock from Heffy Doodle to be just a bit bigger than a2. Ink blend a gradient of blues, starting with the darkest at the bottom and fading up to the original cardstock colour. (Catherine Pooler inks: Juniper Mist, Dress Blues, Suede Shoes & Something Borrowed.)
2. PRO TIP! Allow space for the colours to have some overlap for a smoother transition and go over the sections a couple of times for maximum depth of colour.
3. Die cut the panel with the Erin Lee A2 Rounded Panel die.
4. Splatter over the whole panel with silver metallic watercolour. (Altenew) Set aside to dry.
5. Die cut the Moon Die from black glitter cardstock and adhere to the splattered panel with foam adhesive.
6. Layer up 2x Make A Wish word die cuts from white cardstock and top with a layer of silver. Add this onto a white shadow layer and pop up on more foam tape. (double it up on the lower half so that it sits above your moon, but overlaps it slightly.
7. Add the panel onto an a2 panel of white cardstock on another layer of foam adhesive for maximum dimension!!!

Card 2 – Daylight

Splatter it up good!

1. Let’s repeat the basic steps, but switch up the details for a second, warmer toned card design!
2. Use Heffy Doodle Pumpkin Patch cardstock and ink blend with Cranberry, Flame & Glitz. Die cut.
3. Splatter with metallic watercolours that match each colour section. (Altenew’s Metallic Watercolour paint has red, orange and gold which work beautifully.)
4. Die cut the Sunset Water die from black glitter cardstock and add this on foam adhesive.
5. Foil, then reverse foil a Happy Birthday sentiment in Gold Matte onto black glossy cardstock. Die cut and add onto the panel with foam adhesive.
6. Again, pop the whole panel up onto an a2 panel of white cardstock.
