Hey Crafty People!

Today, I’m quickly sharing this simple, fun-fold card using the awesome Snappy Before Coffee set from Time For Tea Designs. You won’t believe how truly simple it is to create this easy easel card design.

All of the images for this card come from the Snappy Before Coffee set which is part of the last release from Time For Tea Designs. One of the best things about the style of T4TD’s sets though is that they can all work so well together. Any of Jo’s other cute critters sets could easily fit alongside the images from this new set, so you really can let your imagination run wild!!! ??

Creating the Easy Easel Card…

There are only two score lines needed to create this fun fold card, so it’s a great place to start if you aren’t too confident with this style of card base. The instructions below will create an a2 size card, but bear in mind that it can be altered to create any size card, simply by changing the measurements given.

1. Cut a piece of heavyweight card to 11″ x 4.25″
2. Score this at 5.5″
3. Score again at 2.25″
4. Reinforce these creases with a bone folder.

This gives you a top folding, landscape a2 card which has a second crease halfway down the front of the card. You just need to be mindful of where you’re adding adhesive so that this second fold can open with no issues. (If you glue a card panel onto the entire card front this would prevent that second fold from bending.)

Finishing Off The Design…

I wanted my background to continue above the crease when my card was standing, so I only glued the elements onto the lower half of the front of my card. (Make sure you don’t add any glue above the crease.)

For some added interest, I used thin strips of acetate on my Sun & sentiment so that they would ‘float’ above the scene when the card is open.

I glued one of the pre printed sentiments from an earlier release onto the inside of the card; this makes a great ledge that will hold the card open.
