I really love this pair of cards that I made for the recent Heffy Doodle release I really just think they are like looking at a real Birthday Party!

I wanted to make a patterned background that I could split into 2x seperate backgrounds, and I really think they turned out so well! I’m definitely going to be remaking these next time we have a Birthday Party to attend!!!

Here’s how I made them!

1. Using the solid square die and the thicker strip piece from the Present Shaker die set, cut one of each die from 6 pieces of the Greatest Show patterned paper. (I chose a pinstripe and an Argyle pattern for the red, blue and yellow papers.
2. Keeping the same colour together, swap out the pattern and glue these together. You should end up with 6x gift boxes.
3. Die cut the large swoopy bow & the string piece from Gold mirror cardstock and a tag from white cardstock.
4. Adhere your bows and strings onto the gifts and add your little tags. (I decided to handwrite ‘from me’ with a heart onto each one but you could leave blank, or even stamp a small sentiment/image onto them.
5. Trim a letter sized sheet of Neenah Whites in half and add some of your gift on. Fill up from the inside out, but make sure some of them are hanging off the edge. Trim these pieces and reuse those bits to plug gaps.
6. Cut this panel in half and continue filling up edges with pieces you trim off.

Now you have two panels that you can use however you want to!

Card 1

1. Die cut the Let’s Party Jumbo sentiment die from metallic blue and the same.Gold mirror you used on your bows. Adhere 2 layers of blue down on top of the gold, but slightly offset to give a fabulous gold drop shadow.
2. Add to a vellum shadow and pop up on pieces of foam tape, hidden behind the words.
3. Emboss a sub sentiment from Wrapped With Love in Polished Gold powder from WOW and trim it into a strip. Hide tiny dots of liquid glue behind the letters and adhere it on top of your die cut sentiment.
4. Embellish with sequins from Starry Night Sparkle mix.

Card 2

1. Die cut and layer 2x Happy Birthday Jumbo Sentiment words from Metallic Blue cardstock and adhere on top of a Gold shadow.
2. Emboss a sub sentiment from the same stamp set, again in Polished Gold on Vellum.
3. Apply double sided adhesive to the back of the vellum and adhere a second layer of vellum onto it. (This helps it to pop much better off that darker sentiment.)
4. Embellish with more of those sequins!
