I’m super excited to be sharing my first post as a member of Trinity Stamps Creative Team!
I’m joining the Video Inspiration team and you’ll get brand new inspiration from me every Monday. I decided to kick off my term with a super cool double stencilling technique; this involves stencilling over the top of another stencil and you can get some super fun effects this way!
I decided to keep it a little simple today, but you can try this techniques with a limitless number of combinations! I really hope it inspires you to give this technique a go yourself!
Double Stencilling Technique | Tutorial
I used supplies from the new release, along with some staple supplies. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out and I’m loving all of the different ways I was able to use the Foundations stencils!!!
Ways I Used The Foundations Stencils:
- I used one of the open stencils to mask off a border around my panel; I love the look of a white border but I usually achieve it by layering up panels together, but for this card I wanted to keep it to a single layer. The Foundations a2 stencils are PERFECT for this!
- I used one of the middle pieces to mask off a focal point in the centre of my card where I could position my sentiment, or even an image. (Using the corresponding window stencil makes it super easy to get your focal point central.
- I used the corresponding other halves to quickly draw a golden border around the stencilled area; this was super quick and convenient!
- There are laser etched lines on the stencils and masks to help you to line them up; I placed the same mask back into the centre and used the central line to be sure that I had my sentiment perfectly placed. So handy!
