My Inspiration Step-by-Step

1. Create a mixed media background by spritzing blue ink spray, water and sprinkling Lindy’s Magicals powder onto an a2 panel of Distress Watercolour cardstock. Create by layering the products up, partially drying in between using Setting 1 of your Dual Speed Heat Embossing Tool. (Sop up any excess water with some paper towel as you work.) Once you’re happy with the background, set it aside to fully dry.
2. Apply some double sided adhesive to WOW cardstock and die cut the top layer of your umbrella. To apply your embossing powder to the umbrella, peel away alternate pieces of release paper and apply Bluebell Mist, then peel away the last 2 pieces and apply Wisteria Wonder. Using a WOW Embossing Pen, apply ink to the spokes of the umbrella that are on the bottom layer, and the small top piece from the umbrella. Apply Polished Silver. Heat set all pieces thoroughly.
   To cover any white that may show through between your embossed stripes, cover the rest of the lower layer with purple using your marker of choice. Then adhere the 3 pieces of the umbrella together.
3. Die cut the pieces for your 2x ladies (or for the legs of whichever genders you want your kissing couple to be) from coloured and white cardstock. Add shading and detail with your favourite markers before adhering them together. (To see how I made this an INTERACTIVE card, check out my video tutorial below!) Use foam adhesive to add your couple under the umbrella.
4. Cut a panel of vellum for the bottom section of your card panel and emboss your sentiment and decorative elements in Aurora Borealis (from last year’s Earthly Marvels Collection). Adhere these onto your vellum with dots of strong liquid adhesive, before hiding more adhesive behind them to adhere your vellum onto your mixed media background. Trim the whole panel down to 4 x 5.25 inches and adhere onto an a2 card base with an equal border all round. Use one of the embossed lines on the vellum piece as ground to stand your kissing couple on.
5. To finish, embellish with 3x groupings of matching gems.
