Hey Crafty People!

I have been meaning to try this technique for AGEES but just never got round to it, but after a recent Erica CaCaCraft reel I was feeling super inspired to give it a go!!!

1. On a piece of HB patterned paper, foil their a2 Frames die in Silver Glimmer foil. (When foiling with a die rather than a hot plate, you will need a little extra pressure to get a good transfer; the amount you need varies on the thickness of your die, your particular die machine, the thickness of paper used…basically it varies A LOT. So just start with a paper shim and work up depending on the results you get. I added a piece of 100lb cardstock between the back of the die and the spacer pad for my Glimmer sandwich.)
2. Trim down the foiled panel to a2 and set aside.

Creating A Frosted Rose

1. Cut each of the layers for the Lovely Layers Rose from thick Vellum; it needs to be heat resistant. To get a darker look to your first couple of layers, add double sided adhesive to the Vellum and stick it to another piece of Vellum before cutting, then you will have a thicker/darker piece. (The dies can easily handle the double layer!)
2. Add WOW Ultra Slow Dry embossing ink to the edges of each piece and emboss in Silver embossing powder.
3. Adhere the layers together, using liquid glue in discreet areas; hide it behind the embossing or where you know another layer will cover it. (I also find that if I add a small amount of glue, then gently spread that a little with my fingertip it really dissipates that look of glue through Vellum.)
4. Cut each of the stem & leaf layers from the same green cardstock and add Copic markers to them to give the look of shadows.
5. Using a black frame, (cut from the same frames die that we foiled with) position the florals to come from the lower left and trim anything that goes past the frame. Adhere the frame with liquid glue and add foam behind the parts you’d like to have more dimension.
6. Stamp & emboss a sentiment onto the same black cardstock, then die cut & add to the card.
7. Embellish with gems.
