Hey Crafty People!

Today, I’m sharing another fun video tutorial for my Guest Designer slot over at Trinity Stamps. This week, I’m making this giant, cupcake birthday wishes card; sharing that the fabulous decorative elements for the Cupcake shaped card fit perfectly onto a standard a2 sized card.

1. Cut the pieces to create the cupcake and whatever accent pieces you’d like to use.
2. Blend ink onto the frosting, in a random way to give a mix of colours across the whole die cut. (I used Party Dress, Samba & Tiki Torch)
3. Add shading details along the debossed lines of the die cut and add highlights with a white pencil crayon & gel pen.
4. Blend ink onto the cake die cut. (I used Icing On The Cake)
5. Cut the cupcake liner from patterned paper and back with a second die cut of heavyweight cardstock to make it more sturdy.
6. Blend ink over the Starstruck stencil for a really quick, yet interesting background. (I used Oh, Boy!)
7. Splatter Liquid Pixie Dust across your background for some fun pops of shimmer.
8. Using scraps of cardstock, stick your cupcake pieces onto your background and decorate with your chosen accent pieces. (I added some Crystal Glaze to my cherry to get that classic glazed look!)
9. Stamp a sentiment from the Simply Sentimental Birthday set and cut with the coordinating die before adding to your card.
