Hero Arts Feb 24 My Monthly Hero Release is here, and I’m sharing an unboxing of the whole release over on my channel today. I’m also sharing my first 2 cards using the release. (I don’t have video of the making of these though, due to an user incompatibility issue…I didn’t hit record. ?)

Full Panel Shaker

I am in love with this Peacock Cover Die and I wanted to make a full panel shaker with it! Look how awesome it looks as you shake it!!! I LOVE how it turned out!!!

1. To create your background, take an a2 panel of Premium White cardstock and create a striped, curved pattern by taking your Pool Party, Blue Raspberry, Blue Hawaii & Splash ink pads direct to the paper. You want to fill the entire panel with just 1 stripe of each colour.
2. Die cut the Peacock from glossy, black cardstock and adhere onto your blue stripes panel. The die doesn’t have an edge cut, so you’ll need to trim it down; cut it to allow for 1/8th inch all round when attached to an a2 cardbase.
3. Cut a piece of cellophane from some packaging and ensure you have it at least 1inch larger on all sides when you place your Peacock panel on to it. Add a strip of strong double sided adhesive on each side and peel back the release tape on 3 sides. Fold the plastic over and press into the adhesive. Carefully pinch the corners and trim off any excess. You should have a pouch, sealed on 3 sides.
4. Fill your shaker pouch with iridescent clear sequins and once you’re happy with the level of fill, peel away the last release tape and seal the last edge.
5. Adhere onto an a2 card panel made from Premium White cardstock.
6. Add a sentiment and feather from the Premium kit’s Ephemera pack.

Imagine Peace

1. Take mini ink cubes of Fruit Punch, Creamsicle & Taffy directly to paper on an a2 panel. Swipe the ink pads up, from the bottom. Make sure to leave areas where they overlap and leave some of the texture for added visual texture.
2. Using the Peace Daisies stencil, add Unicorn White pigment ink over the whole panel. Now, add Clear Holographic Sparkle Embossing powder from WOW Embossing over the whole panel; the embossing will stick to the wet pigment ink!
3. Trim the panel down to 4 x 5.25inch and add to an a2 panel of patterned holographic cardstock, at an angle to give an unequal border around.
4. Die cut the Imagine Peace Fancy Dies from Premium White cardstock and double sided adhesive foam. Layer the cardstock on top of the foam and quickly create an ombre over them by taking the ink pad direct to paper. Adhere them, adding a quirky curve whilst you adhere them.
