Layered Bold Blooms

1. Cut several of the pieces from the Bold blooms die set from a variety of solid colour & metallic cardstocks. Set aside these pieces until you have plenty to fill your intended design space. (PRO TIP! Always cut more than you think you’ll need and store any unused ones in the die packaging! This way you are sure not to run out of pieces before you’re happy with the design.)
2. Using small blending brushes, add darker ink to the centres/bases of flowers, leaves & branches.
3. Assemble the various pieces together until you have completed all of your individual elements. Set these aside whilst working on your background.
4. Add some border accents to an a2 panel of white cardstock using Matte Gold foil and your favourite foil plates. (The border that I used is from an older Spellbinders set called Art Deco Borders and is no longer available unfortunately.)
5. Arrange your elements into a design that you are happy with, and use Press ‘n Seal to lift up the images as one so as not to disturb your layout. Adhere them onto your a2 panel using a mixture of liquid glue & foam adhesive. Then slowly and carefully peel back the Press ‘n Seal. (If you don’t have Press ‘n Seal then you can substitute for some pieces of low tack tape, but I really can’t recommend it enough!!!)
6. Add a sentiment. (This was the reverse foiled image of one of the hot foil plates in Yana’s Tiny Sentiments set. Again foiled in Matte Gold. (Reverse foiling need a Solid Foil Plate and I’ve got lots of tutorials/videos using this!)
7. Embellish with a few Prism gems.
