Creating multiple cards at once can be both fun and efficient, and in this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make each card unique using the same set of products. The theme for today is “Making Multiples,” and I’ll be highlighting Altenew’s July 2024 Release Hop & Giveaway.

I’ll be using the Flutter & Bloom stamp set, which includes coordinating dies, stencils, and an embossing folder. This comprehensive set offers incredible versatility for your card-making projects. Whether you pick up individual items or the value bundle, you’re in for a treat!

1. Stamp one of the butterflies from the Flutter & Bloom set in Obsidian ink onto Neenah 80lb paper. Allow it to dry overnight before colouring with the Simple Coloring Stencils included in the set.
2. Start with a flat layer of ink, then add dimension by applying a heavier hand with the same ink. Add darker ink at the base of the wings to deepen the color, blending smoothly through the layers.
3. Use a darker base ink (ink 2) and transition to an even darker ink (ink 3) at the base of the wings, blending well.
4. Use gray inks for the inner sections and body of the butterfly, varying the intensity for added interest.
5. Use a sparkly Gelly Roll pen to add subtle highlights and a black Glaze pen for a glossy, raised effect.Die-cut the butterfly and set it aside.

1. Simple Stamped Background

1. Stamp the largest flower bunch from the set onto an A2 panel in light grey.
2. Add a sentiment in Obsidian ink, then trim the panel to 5 x 3.75 inches.
3. Attach the butterfly with a folded wing and adhere the panel to a card base, embellished with Altenew Gold Washi tape and jewel accents.

2. Whimsical Sentiments

1. Stamp the second butterfly from the Flutter & Bloom set in light grey onto an A2 panel.
2. Add two sentiments in Obsidian ink and cover with clear embossing powder. Heat set with a Dual Speed Heat Tool.
3. Trim the panel down to 5 x 3.75 inches and adhere the butterfly with the wings free.
4. Trim the sentiments into strips and adhere them at wonky angles for a playful effect.
5. Attach the panel to an A2 card base with a border and finish with jewel embellishments.

Dry Embossed Sentiment Panel

1. Stamp a sentiment onto an A2 panel and let it dry.
2. Place the panel in the 3D embossing folder, ensuring the sentiment is positioned correctly.
3. Run it through a die-cutting machine for a raised, detailed effect.
4. Attach the butterfly flat with foam tape and finish with gems.

Full On EXTRA!

1. Stamp and clear emboss the large flower image onto another panel.
2. Colour using the stencils, blending inks for a dimensional look.
3. Die-cut the image and attach it to a card base with foam tape.
4. Add a fussy-cut, embossed sentiment and another butterfly with free wings.
5. Finish with jewel embellishments.
