Welcome to my stop on this Celebrating Parents Card Drive Blog Hop & Giveaway! I’m sharing a few different projects here today. I’ll also have the information about the Card Drive itself, this giveaway and the next stop on the hop throughout this post! This hop is really quite exciting for me because it was the Celebrating Parents blog hop in 2021 that was my first time Guesting with Altenew. This last year has been nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!! So I want to say a big thank you to Altenew for all of the opportunities that I’ve been given over the last 12 months. <3

Never Too Much Sparkle
I’m firmly in the camp where no amount of glitz & sparkle is every too much, so I just had to use the gorgeous glitter cardstock gradient packs to create some fully sparkly layered blooms!!!
Top tip! Double sided adhesive sheets added BEFORE die cutting is your best friend in these kinds of situations. It makes it so easy & quick to add each layer on top of the last, and Altenew’s has some fabulous staying power too!!!
For a subtle background, I stamped the Woven Lines stamp in a light grey colour ink onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb as a neutral background for all of that bling! My sentiment is die cut using the Mighty Alphabet die set.

I chose some of my favourite colours from Altenew’s range of inks for this card and kept the colour scheme really quite pastel & tame for me! First, I die cut the floral image and then die cut the word to pop it up on some extra layers for that added dimension.
The tone-on-tone background is a die cut piece from the mix ‘n’ match frames die set. I love adding white die cuts on top of white panels for some subtle interest.

Exploring Mixed Media ink
If you’ve ever wondered just what you can do with the Mixed Media Inks from Altenew, then I’m sharing several ideas today! (Including using them to decorate fabric!)
One of the awesome things about these inks is that they can layer on top of other stamped images, which you won’t get with a dye ink.

I just love the intensity of the sparkly paper and Altenw’s Painted Blooms layering die set! Fantastic card… The Altenew Card Drive is great, so many seniors are isolated due to health issues and Covid concerns…
