March Squirrels Gone Nutz

Hey Crafty People!

It’s time for another Squirrels Gone Nutz hop; it’s one of my favourite times of each month, hopping along seeing the gorgeous creations everyone has made! This month’s supply is Specialty Paper and our prompt is the colour Green!

I realised that I don’t really use much green in my designs, so this was a bit of a creative stretch for me, which I love!

I grabbed a bunch of different shades of green cardstock, and two different shades of green glitterstock, along with the Branches & Berries die set from Altenew. I’ve not used these dies yet, so I was happy to get the chance to use them now.

I cut a whole bunch of each of the dies from each of the papers I had; I was able to cut through the glitter paper using a metal shim and running it through my Gemini Jr a couple of times

I trimmed down a strip of Buff cardstock and I added two strips of double sided tape at the top, these are holding the different pieces in place.

I added the different die cuts, layering them together to create a full but balanced design, and once I was happy with it, I added two more strips of double sided tape so that the pieces are sandwiched in between them and there is no risk of them going anywhere!!

I cut the bold thanks due from Altenew out of Neenah 110lb with a vellum shadow; I ran the letters through my Xyron mini which makes them super easy to adhere onto the vellum. Then I cam just use some dots of glue that are hidden by the letters to attach the whole thing onto the Buff strip.

As always, this is a hop that is sure to be filled with some amazing inspiration, and your next stop is the wonderful Marie, so be sure to head over and give her some love. ?

Thank you so much for stopping by today, if you’re new here then I hope that you will consider subscribing.

Stay Crafty!

  1. Gorgeous!!! I love how the assorted shades of green look together! That sentiment is gorgeous too!!! This makes me want to use some of my unused foliage dies… I think we all have them!!! If I find time to make something with them, I’ll tag you! I wish I had the ability to craft more cause I’d love to do a “Inspired By” series CASEing my sweet Squirrels!!! My Tasha cards would probably all be florals ?

  2. It’s beautiful Natasha! I love all that foliage and the different shade of green !

  3. All these shades of green that you picked are so pretty, Tasha! Love the way how you placed all the elements and the texture on the background. So gorgeous!!

  4. I love everything about this card. The mix of colours, the way the flora jumps out at you, really realistic looking

  5. This is so cool!!!! I love the abundance of foliage and the way you incorporated the specialty papers in there!!! The Thanks is so cute and the water droplets are the perfect finishing touch!!!! Always love your creations!

  6. What a unique and awesome way to use a bunch of smaller dies! I love that this card could be given to anyone, without worrying about it being too feminine or too masculine. PERFECT! You always amaze me with your cards, Tasha! 🙂
