Mixed Media Madness | Altenew Educator’s Instagram Hop

I created my background by spritzing an a2 panel of Distress Watercolour Cardstock with some clean, clear water and going straight in with a Jet Black watercolour brush marker! I dripped the pigment onto the paper, in different places and amounts, then just let it do its thing and spread out in the water. Once it was dry, I also put some of the ink onto my glass mat and dipped the edge of an old gift card into it and touched it to the paper to create some random lines.

I mixed some of the Jet Black ink through some texture paste straight onto my glass mat, and then spread it out onto some vellum through the Stone Wall stencil. Once it dried I cut a bunch of the leaves from Just Leaves die set from it.

For my sentiment I stamped these words from Mega Label Love in Ruby Red ink, and I stamped it twice to get a really bold, vibrant saturation of the red. I fussy cut these words, leaving no white border.

Once I assembled the different elements, I felt that I needed another pop of red, so I blended some of the same Ruby Red ink onto a scrap of 110lb Neenah then cut the detail layer of Sunlit Butterfly die set. I added this to a white base layer die cut.

A few Satin White sequins finished it off to perfection!
