Hey Crafty People!
If you’ve ever dumped a project because it’s been insanely overfoiled, then I’ve got a top that just might be overfoiling SOLVED!
Before/After ?
- Use a normal eraser to remove the over foiling, without damaging the foiled image/sentiment.
Turning It Into A Card!
- Foil the Tulips with Pink foil onto Hot Pink Cardstock.
- Deepen the colour by blending an ombre of Sangria & Sugared Lavender inks. Set aside to dry.
- Trim down an a2 sheet of Simply Teal-icious cardstock, ink blend on 3sides, begin with Sea Glass ink, bringing it down towards the bottom of the panel.
- Next, bring in Bay Breeze to deepen the colour from the edges towards the centre. (Don’t take this colour as far as Sea Glass.)
- To pump up that depth of colour on the very edges, use a small amount of Juniper Mist. Work back through the colours to make sure you’ve got a smooth transition.
- Splatter the panel with Sterling Silver watercolour. Set aside to dry
- Use the coordinating die to cut the Tulips. (This die cuts the tops but doesn’t cut out the entire image.)
- Trim out the rest of the piece with scissors to follow the line of the leaves on the side and cut the bottom with a paper trimmer.
- Adhere the Tulips onto the panel, using scrap paper to lift them for dimension.
- Foil a sentiment in Silver foil, trimming it into a long thin strip and adhering with foam squares.
