What does repeat & multi-generation stamping mean??

These are two simple techniques, that I combined to create a super easy card, really quickly…but it is so much more impressive than just simply stamping ‘Happy Birthday’ onto your card!

Repeat Stamping is exactly what it sounds like; you stamp the same image or sentiment multiple times. Using a MISTI (or similar stamping tool) makes this so much easier; you can load the stamp, then slide your cardstock up to stamp again!

Multi-Generation Stamping means stamping multiple times without re-inking; this gives a lighter colour.

Here I stamped three times without re-inking, and I used a tip I got from the awesome Carrie Rhoades; if you breathe onto the stamp it will remoisten the ink, just enough to stamp again. So that’s what I did for the third stamping, and it worked SO WELL.

I love these new colours from Catherine Pooler; I used Merlot which is a gorgeously rich, dark burgundy and the new Big Happy stamp set, finishing the sentiment with Gold embossing.
