If youve never tried Heffy Doodles’ stencils then this is a PSA that ohhhh my days…you really should!!!
The design of their stencils for background elements, like clouds, grass etc, is so clever! It works as a stencil and a mask…and you get so many different edges to use. I flipping LOVE THEM.
Let’s Make A Card…
- Using the Cloudy Skies stencil, ink blend a soft, sky background onto a slimline panel of Neenah 80lb. (Using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and a blending brush. Finish the panel, by blending some of that blue around the edges.
- Stamp images from the Fluffy Unicorns stamp set in Fadeout ink. Allow these images to dry before colouring using a variety of alcohol markers. (Colours listed below.) If you’d like a tutorial on how to get this no line coloured effect, let me know!
- Fussy or die cut the images and adhere to the panel with a mixture of liquid & foam adhesive for added dimension.
- Stamp a sentiment directly onto the panel in a darker teal shade.
- Add light shadows underneath the images with pale alcohol markers.
- Embellish with sequins.
