I’m so excited to be sharing my first post as Rachel Vass Designs Guest Designer for August 2020!

This gorgeous Sunmer Floral design is perfectly proportioned for a slimline card and I wanted to keep it simple to let it really shine; I printed it onto Neenah 80lb cardstock & coloured it using a mixture of Copics and Winsor & Newton Alcohol Markers.

I wanted to keep it bright and Summery so I chose colours that would fit in with that and I just sat & enjoyed the process of colouring.

I printed off one of the sentiments from the release; they are reverse, meaning they’re black with white letters. I used my laminator to add gold foil, (I have lots of posts with explanations on how I do this.)

Once coloured, I trimmed the panel down to be 3 1/4 inch by 8 inch and then I cut down & scored a sheet of mint cardstock from Papermill Direct to give me a card that measured 3.5 inch x 8 1/4 inch. This allows for a small border to be visible around the panel.

I added a few gold confetti pieces from Little Things by Lucy’s Cards and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape to attach it to my card base.
