This week’s release from Graciellie Design feels like a breath of fresh air, a reminder that in all of the craziness we are surrounded by right now, it is the simple things in life that matter the most.

I designed three cards for this release, keeping each one clean & simple in honour of the message I feel the set inspires.

For card number 1 I created a wreath by adding the image multiple times into my preferred computer software, Silhouette Studio, making sure to avoid an end result that looks too repeated by mirroring the image and included different sizes which gives the illusion of having multiple different leaves and branches to make up the wreath. I added one of the sentiments from the set into the centre of the wreath and printed onto Neenah 80lb.

I used two of my favourite green combinations to colour the leaves, added a few gold confetti pieces and put it onto an A2 card base made from Buff Papermill Direct cardstock.

For card number 2, I created a box in Silhouette Studio that was 3 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches to help me to get the right proportions for a Slimline card. I added two of the branch images so that they would frame a space in the top left corner where I added my sentiment. Again, I printed onto Neenah 80lb.

I coloured all of the leaves in the same combination of two Copics and I added foil to my sentiment using my laminator. (I have lots of posts explaining how i do this.)

I then added it to a Buff card base measuring 3 1/2 by 8 inches, adding a few clear Raindrop embellishments. There isn’t really a ‘set’ standard for Slimline cards, so you can make them to whatever size you would like! (Just remember that it needs to fit into an envelope that’s a standard size unless you make your own. Over here in the UK we have a DL envelope size that’s great for Slimlines of this size.)

My third card is definitely the most Clean & Simple; I added a single branch and a sentiment to fit within a panel I would cut down to 3 3/4 by 5 inches. Again, printing onto Neenah 80lb.

I added gold foil to the image and silver foil to the sentiment, trimmed the panel and popped it up on foam tape, onto a standard A2 card base made from Neenah 110lb; this gives me a nice thick border round the panel which just adds a little interest to break up the solid white space.

I added a mixture of gold & silver confetti pieces to embellish.
