I’m sharing a two-for-one Cherry Blossom design using this gorgeous cover plate die from Hero Arts.

Layered Lovelies

1. Cut a piece of Hot Pink cardstock to 4.25 x 5.5 inch and add more depth by ink blending darker shades of pink around the outside. Blend from the edges, leaving a circular highlight in the centre. Allow to fully dry.
2. Ink up the Novel Prose Bold Print with Unicorn white pigment ink and stamp onto the pink panel. Again, let this dry.
3. Die cut the cover plate from glossy black cardstock and Neenah 80lb. Add a sheet of Press ‘n’ Seal to the back of the black die cut to hold all of the pieces into place, take it out of the die and gently peel away the cover plate, positive die cut. Add another sheet onto the front of the pieces and then you can peel away the piece from the back. Set this aside to use on the next card!
4. Adhere the white behind the black, offsetting them slightly to give a white drop shadow. You’ll need to trim any white showing outside the black edges. Adhere this onto the pink panel to complete the background.
5. Stamp & die cut a sentiment using the February MMH Kit onto Neenah 80lb with black ink. Die cut a few extra and layer it up to give extra dimension to the Scripty word and adhere both onto the card, at an angle.
6. Adhere pink translucent embellishments.

Using the Negatives

1. Cut another A2 panel of hot pink cardstock and add an a2 panel of double sided adhesive. Burnish it down well.
2. Peel back the release and adhere the negative pieces in place in one go, thanks to the Press ‘n Seal. Carefully peel it away and burnish down the negative pieces well.
3. Cover the remaining sticky with Sparkling Sugar Sparkles from WOW, again burnishing these well.
4. Stamp & die cut a sentiment the same way as the last card and adhere onto the panel.
5. Again, embellish with more translucent pink dots.
