Creating A Background

To create the background, I used a Brayer to evenly add WOW Embossing Ink over an a2 panel of WOW cardstock then I added two different Embossing Glitters to the panel.

I added Pea Coat, which is the deep blue, to half of the panel, then I added Cerulean to the other half. To get a blend between the two in the middle, cross them over each other; I used a fan brush to knock off a little of the Pea Coat, to get a softer edge, before adding the Cerulean.

I heat set the first layer, before repeating the same again to add a second layer to really maximise the colour & sparkle!

Shake, Shake, Shake!

1. Die cut your embossed panel using Heffy Doodle’s Stitched Birthday Trio Frame die set. (Set the inner pieces aside to be used on the second card.)
2. Using a strong liquid glue, adhere a piece of acetate to the back of this embossed panel. Trim any acetate that overhangs.
3. Using the same Trio Frame die, cut 4x panels from white cardstock and adhere these together using strong liquid glue. (These will form the walls of your shaker, so ensure that you have put glue across every part to completely seal all three sections…you don’t want any glitter spilling out!)
4. Glue the walls piece to the acetate backed piece, again using strong adhesive and set it aside to fully dry. (It is a good idea to place something heavy on top of this as it dries!)
5. Fill each section with a different Sparkles mix from WOW. (I used Twinklebelle in the bottom, Stroke of Midnight in the the middle and Gold Rush in the top.)
6. Seal the shaker with another piece of acetate, again being careful to not leave any gaps, and lay something heavy on top whilst it dries.)
7. For the background, ink blend onto an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb, over Heffy Doodle’s Wave To Me stencil. (Cummerbund ink over the whole stencil, and deepen some areas with Dress Blues.)
8. Once dry, glue the shaker panel down onto this ink blended background.
9. Stamp the adorable little Turtle from HD’s Shellabrate stamp set using Copic friendly ink and after allowing the ink to dry colour him up with various green markers. (Use a lighter marker to colour across the entire section, then use darker markers to add shadow & texture by simply dotting these onto the image. Use various shades of green for the different sections of your image.)
10. Using the little Hexagon shape in the stamp set, stamp onto the Shell in green ink.
11. Fussy cut the little Turtle and add extra details using white gel pen.
12. Stamp and fussy cut a sentiment from the same stamp set.
13. Pop up the image and sentiment using foam adhesive onto the shaker panel.
14. Add clear droplet embellishments to look like bubbles.

Glitter All The Things…

1. Back the ‘waste’ pieces of heat embossed cardstock with 2x additional layers taken from the shaker wall for dimension, then adhere these to an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb. If you want to line them up straight, use the die or a die cut to position them, but I fancied having them at a fun, jaunty angle!)
2. Heat emboss some WOW cardstock with Golden Vintage Lace embossing glitter and die cut the happy die from this three times.
3. Stack these heat embossed words onto 2 additional die cuts for more dimension, then glue these to the panel! (Again, leave to dry with something heavy on top because will help the glue stick well to the textured surface.)
4. Add a gold foiled sub sentiment from WOW’s Sweet Sentiments pack.
