I’m here with another idea for this beautiful Geometric Sentiment from Lesia Zhgarda, available at The Little Paper Tree.

I have recently had some new Copics, including these gorgeous turquoise shades.
I measured out & coloured on some scrap Neenah 80lb starting with the lightest and working up to the darkest as I got further up the paper. I knew I wanted to stamp over the ombre, so I made sure that I coloured an area large enough to accommodate that.

I embossed with superfine clear by WOW! so that the stamp would be visible, but wouldn’t cover up the beautiful colour.

I used the darkest of the Copics I was using to colour in & around the stamped sentiment, then I trimmed it down.

I also coloured two thin strips of Neenah 80lb from my scraps to use at the sides of my card.

I used a 3d embossing folder from Gemini that gives this gorgeous shattered geometric texture. I used a panel of Neenah 80lb, and before I ran it through my machine I gave it a VERY light spritz of water. I don’t actually spray the paper; I spray up into the air and then waft the paper through as the water droplets fall. This just helps allow the paper a little extra give, without cracking; if you have been having trouble with your 3d embossing folders then give this a try.

I added my ombre strips to a card base using foam adhesive and then attached the embossed panel on top. I attached this with a mixture of foam adhesive and liquid glue; so that the foam would help keep the embossed pattern protected. I added the sentiment with some more foam adhesive.

I wanted some dots which matched the colours I used, so I added Nuvo Crystal drops in white and once they were fully dry I coloured over them with the same Copics I used for the rest of the card.
