Eclipsed Sentiment
I absolutely ADORE the new Meadow Burst layering stencil set and I decided to go for a mix of different lush green foliage with an added pop of yellow. I really love how bright and Spring like this looks (especially in my dreary corner of the world!)
In fact, I liked it so much that I didn’t want to cover any of it with a sentiment; so I opted for a good old Eclipse technique! I really love how show-stopping this style of sentiment is and it complemented the stenciled image so perfectly!
When I say ‘Eclipse technique’ what I mean is that we die cut a shape/sentiment from an image, then pop that piece up on layers of foam/other die cuts whilst slotting any little pieces back in place, level with the card panel itself.
To complement the Eclipsed hugs sentiment I added a small sub sentiment that I stamped in green so as not to be too contrasting with the rest of the design.
Change Up The Aspect
I really wanted to show that you don’t always have to use the whole of an image, or use it on only one size of card.
Here, I used the same stencil, but on a mini slimline card and positioned to be only partially there.
The sentiment is from Mega Label Love and I just stamped it in Obsidian right over the top of my focal image. Sweet, simple but a few unexpected design choices to keep the products interesting! (I always want to know that I will get a decent amount of usage out of the products that I buy!)

3D Embossing Folder – 1 Design, 2 Examples!
Sticking with the theme of multiple examples of how to use a product; I decided to create the same card but two ways! This was such an easy and quick design, plus I chose to make Birthday cards because I needed to up my stash of them! (This year, I WILL be better at sending them out ?????)
For the first card, I used the Frozen Delights mini cubes, and swiped them each over one row of the raised side of the new Fringe EF. Then when I ran an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb through in it, the ink transfers giving me rainbow fringes! (This is actually the back of the folder’s design, but I totally think they can be used either way and look great!!!)
The second background is a punch of holographic cardstock and this shows the front of the design!
I finished both cards with a stacked sentiment and a simple sub sentiment. (Plus, I added some fun holographic baubles on the second one!)
Textured Background
i used the same inking technique on the raised side of the embossing folder, to give me what looks like white leaves raised on a green background. Such a fun and easy technique to do with your embossing folders!
This time, I used it as a textured background behind my die cut focal point to give another example of how these EFs can be used to complement the supplies that you already have in your stash! (I really wanted to offer ideas & inspiration that you can take away and use with your own crafty stash!)
The large leaves die cut is from an older release and I added some ink to it with the detail and mini blending brushes! The die cuts within the leaves themselves are backed with gold mirror cardstock to add some shine.
Bursting With Fun & Colour
I added the colour to these stars after I had embossed the panel, just using the mini blending brushes and I wasn’t too concerned with getting ink past the stars themselves. I just added the colour to the centre and let it naturally fade out.
Once I had the colours on, I added embossing ink in the same way, before covering them with Halo clear embossing glitter from WOW! I LOVE how fun it turned out!!!
