Hey Crafty People!
I’m feeling like I am so behind on posts, and I completely forgot to even post this on my blog yesterday, when the video went live! (*facepalm*) So, it’s better late than never, I guess!!!
I’m sharing inspiration using the Spellbinders Small Die Of The Month Jan 2022. I’ve got 3 cards to share, all using the same colour scheme.

Die Cut Inlay
I created a pattern of the three Colour Crush cardstocks that I chose to use, and inlaid the white hearts back into the gaps. You could miss that step but I do like the look of inlaid die cutting.
The little flowers that come with this set are perfectly sized to add detail to the floral heart image. To give them a bit of life, I used the end of a paintbrush to press down into the centre; this lifts the petals as it creates a cupped shape. The centres are all little gems from Trinity.
For the sentiment, I used a Spellbinders one that I had pre foiled. However, this is actually the reverse foiling that I got by using the Solid Foil Plate from Pinkfresh Studios.
Using The Leftovers Too!
If you’ve been here for a while then you’ll know that I hate wasting those extra pieces, so I created another card using some of them.
This time, the large heart is embossed in Halo embossing glitter from WOW. Then the sentiment is something that I was super excited about!
I used one of the older SDOM sets from 2021, cutting the shadow from white and the word itself from some home made foiled cardstock. (I use my solid plate to foil all of the little leftover bits of foil, and I then use that for die cuts! No waste here! 😉 )
A few scattered Trinity embellishments and I called this one finished!
Mini Slimline With Embossed Florals
Three of the hearts are the perfect size to fit on a mini slimline panel (6.5in x 3.5in). This time for the flowers, I embossed some of each cardstock in a clear & gold mix of embossing powders that are from WOW x Alexandra Renke. I chose to add the same colours on top of each heart, but you could also mix them all across all three.
The sentiment is another of those pre foiled reverse sentiments.
