Hey Crafty People
Today I’m taking part in an Altenew blog hop to celebrate Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Camellia Waterhouse Outline Release.
If you aren’t familiar with the Paint-A-Flower, it is a monthly, floral outline stamp set series, and it is available as a subscription service.
I love that these are smaller sets, so they have a really good value and they are so wonderfully versatile!

Watercolouring With Distress Ink
I was in the mood for some alcohol marker colouring, so I stamped this gorgeous, large image onto a panel of Neenah 80lb with alcohol friendly black ink. Then I grabbed some pinks & greens and took my colouring with me whilst my husband & I were watching TV. (I really like doing this because I get the fun & relaxation of colouring, whilst also spending time with my hubby!)
Once my image was coloured, I fussy cut it right to the stamped line and blacked the edge with a black Memento marker. (This is a great way to mask any imperfections in your fussy cutting because it covers the white edges of the paper.)
For a background I used a ceramic palette to mix some of the Stormy Skies Magicals with the Glitzy Gold Magicals, both Lindy’s, and some water. Then I used a flat watercolour brush to create an ombré background onto an a2 panel of distress watercolour cardstock and set it aside to dry.
To fulfill my current obsession with torn vellum, I added a horizontal strip, securing from behind then added my florals with foam tape. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, and I embossed it in WOW Gold Rich embossing powder from WOW. (I also tore this and I freaking LOVE how it looks!!!),
