Vintage Galore Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hey Crafty People

Today we are celebrating the Vintage Galore collection release with a super fun blog hop! I will have the person you should head over to next at the bottom of this post. Or you can head over to Altenew’s post to start from the beginning.

Huge Foiled & Ink Blended Beauty

I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous floral combo! In fact, I think this might be my absolute favourite card I’ve ever made!!!

I started by foiling the large bloom onto WOW Superior Smooth cardstock using Silver foil on my Glimmer machine. (WOW cardstock is my go to for foiling, it’s just the perfect choice for foiling!)
Once foiled, I used the coordinating stencils to quickly & easily colour it in. I used Strawberry from the new Frozen Delights set, along with the first three inks from the Red Sunset family. Plus Honey Drizzle for the centre.
Once I had finished, I fussy cut the whole thing and set aside.

I used the amazing Dotted Tiles Debossing cover plate on an a2 piece of Neenah 80lb and attached my flower with some Instant Dimension foam tape.

I stacked up two white, then one silver die cut ‘yay!’ which I attached onto the flower. Then because I was scrambling for last minute Holiday cards I added a sub sentiment from Lovely Ornaments.

Foil On Foil With Some Ink Blending Thrown In

I foiled the Whimsical Peony hot foil plate, again on WOW’s cardstock, but this time I used gold foil. Then I used the stencils to add some colour; this flower is a much more whimsical design, so there are only two layers for it and I used inks 2 & 4 from the Sugarplums family.
I fussy cut this one too.

I had a foiled background left over from a previous foiling session, (Splatter hot foil plate, Matte Gold foil on WOW cardstock) and I die cut it with the middle frame from the Mix & Match Frames die set.
Once it was cut down, I adhered it to an a2 panel of Neenah 80lb which is a creamier shade of white, so I like the contrast.

The sentiment is from the new Sentiment Strips 3 set, and I stamped it in Plum ink. then trimmed it down. I added the flower and sentiment with Instant Dimension foam tape, then added some clear droplet embellishments.

Pops Of Colour

The new Wedding Promises stamp set is a real beauty, and so easy to line up as there aren’t any shading layers, it’s just all base colour. I chose the first two Sugarplums inks for the cake and circular embellishments, then I added orange to the flowers from the Warm & Cozy set.
Purple & orange are complimentary colours, because they are opposite each other on the colour wheel, so they always look really good together.

I ran another a2 panel of Neenah 80lb through my Gemini Jr with the newest Debossing cover die – I absolutely LOVE these dies for a gorgeous but subtle background!
I added a strip of vellum, which I tore to give even more texture, then added a strip of deep purple pearl cardstock. before popping my cake up on foam tape.
The sentiments are both from the Wedding Promises stamp set and the embellishments are Satin White sequins.

Monotone Florals

The background of this card is made from the Folk Floral layering stencils, which I ink blended with the Tranquility family.
I cut one of the Nested Labels slimline size dies from vellum and added ‘Mr & Mr’, which I due cut using the Mighty Alphabet – two white layers with a silver glitter layer on top. (The ‘and’ is Tall Alphas Lowercase just in two layers of white, but I added some extra slivers of cardstock behind it to support it, once they were in place as a bridge between the two Mr’s.)

The sub sentiment is absolutely perfect and is from Sentiment Strips 3. Again, Satin White sequins embellish the design.
