This week, I’m sharing ideas for creating amazing gift tags this Holiday Season! I’ve got two different tag designs to share, but lots of fun techniques that you could use to create your own designs too!
Amazing Gift Tags This Holiday Season!
Hot Foiled Snowflake Multi Tag
For this first design, I added a gorgeous Hot Foiled Snowflake, but you can easily substitute this for a die cut snowflake!
I made two tags at once – it’s easy to create multiples and this is a great way to really boost your Holiday stash!
A contrasting hole reinforcer is a great way to add extra interest and detail!
Another of my favourite ways to add extra interest is by adding additional, mini tags to my gift tags!
I used one of these mini tags to carry my sentiment, which leaves the large tag for my focal image!
Metallic thread carries the sparkle right the way through and makes the thread a conscious part of the wider design.
Easy Glitter Stripes
This tag is a larger size, which works well with those larger gifts or gift bags!
I started by adding the sentiment on this design; stamping one of the scripty sentiments from the Holiday Helper stamp set. This time, my sentiment becomes the central element of the design and everything else works to support that.
I love using a variety of Scor-Tape widths for my stripes because this makes the design more visually exciting! I also work in odd numbers, so I have 5 stripes in total.
Scor-Tape is fabulous for adding glitter because of how strong it is – this tape grips the glitter so well that it’s not going to end up going all over your recipient!!! (The Sparkles that I use are super fine glitter, so if you burnish it then that glitter really is locked in!!!)
To get some cardstock which matched my sentiment, I went direct to paper with my ink cube to get a really saturated colour, really quickly.
I just needed a piece large enough to cut my little candy cane from, then I backed it with some more glittery cardstock that I made.
