I always make sure to let my laminator get really hot before I attempt foiling, so I turn my laminator on as soon as I know I will want to use it and let it warm up whilst I get organised!

Today I’ve got a card to share for Aud Sentiments challenge #251. This challenge is sponsored by Di’s Digi Stamps but the image I’ll be using is not one of theirs.

I have chosen to use Plant Hope by Unity Stamp Company; I have purchased this digi stamp myself, I haven’t been gifted it.

I started by printing the image off onto Neenah Solar White using my laserjet printer. I knew I wanted to foil the sentiment so I laid a piece of WOW! Fab Foil over the page; ensuring that I covered the entire sentiment, but did not cover any of the flower images because I didn’t want those to be foiled.

I didn’t do anything particularly in depth with the colouring here; firstly that would have taken WAY too long with this amount of flowers, but also because I really want going for realism here, after all not many flowers are this shimmery in real life!!!

I just added a darker pink to any areas I thought would have a shadow; I didn’t pay any attention to light source at all, and just kept my shadows at the base of the petals. Then blended that out with a lighter pink.

I just used two Copic markers to colour the leaves & stems, again not paying any attention to light source and just trying to get a colour and look that I liked.
