I’m back with another of the new releases from Rachel Vass Designs, with a reminder that we are having an IG hop to celebrate this newest release.

I played around with this digi in Silhouette Studio, adding the partial cut on an angle, just because I could! I also added the image to a circular design I created and added one of Rachel’s sentiments inside the ‘wreath’.

Once I was happy with the design and cut lines I printed it onto 80lb Neenah and loaded it into my Cameo 4 to cut it out.

I wanted to keep these flowers very soft and pale, so I chose a few different very pale pink & peach markers. I wanted to test how the colours would look when layered up on eachother, in different orders.

Copic ink is semi translucent, so it will layer on top of another colour, as long as the first colour is dry when you add on top of it.

So on one of the two larger flowers I began by colouring it pink, and the other I started with the peach leaning colours instead. Then I glazed over the flower using the lightest marker from the other flower’s base. I think it’s fascinating to see how you can change and manipulate the colours you have without purchasing additional markers.

I kept the leaves really soft & pale too.

I cut down a panel of teal pearl cardstock, but I didn’t want to waste any of it, so I sliced off the top half of it that would have just been hidden. I glued this teal cardstock to the bottom of my card front.

I added foam adhesive to the back of my floral panel and adhered it to the card base and teal cardstock.

A few rhinestone embellishments from Trinity Stamps finished it off nicely.
