This cute cat donut from Alex’s February release is so much fun!! I made animal donut cards with my girls too, they adore these!!!

I coloured my cat in simply with Copic markers; to get the rounded appearance and give my donut some dimension I used darker colours on the inside and outside edges. This will act as the shadow that would naturally fall on a 3d object. Then the lightest colour would be on the highest portion of the curve.

I fussy cut the outside edge and covered the white core of the paper with a black water based marker, because it gives a much nicer finish, and disguises any areas that aren’t perfectly cut! ?? I used a small circle die to cut the centre of the donut.
